Sunday, July 21: Intergenerational Breakfast and Bible Study

Plan to join an Intergenerational Bible Study in Collins Hall, Sunday, July 21, beginning at 9:30 am.  Share in a lite breakfast and participate in a bible study for all ages.  This month’s topic is PRAYER.

Sunday, July 21: Pop-Up Worship – Taize

Our second Pop-Up Worship summer series will be Sunday, July 21, beginning at 5:00 pm.  Meet in the Chapel for a Taize worship service.  It will be a time of reflection, prayer and singing, appropriate for all ages.  You won’t want to miss the musical talent of our very own, Jonathan and Ridley Liu. 

 

Sunday, July 28: Super Sunday

Beginning at 5:00 PM

Super Sunday is a fun evening activity time for kids and an opportunity for parents to fellowship together.

Children participate in planned activities at the church, hosted by Megan and other volunteers, while parents have dinner together at a restaurant of their choosing.  Nursery is provided.  Sign up today!

WAYS TO SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY THIS SUMMER:

Saturday, July 27: Families in Action Beaverton Project

Join other First Church families for a service project and potluck picnic lunch in the Beaverton area.  Meet at the First United Methodist Church in Beaverton at 4:00 pm, where we will help with a couple of projects around the church.  Please dress for light outdoor work and bring a pair of gloves if you have them.

Bring a dish to share during a picnic potluck in the park following our work project.  Any items that need to be refrigerated can be stored at FUMC Beaverton.

Assistance with Lawn Care Needed

One of our senior church members living in NE Portland needs some assistance maintaining her lawn.  If you are able to contribute time and energy to mowing, pruning, etc. please contact Megan or the church office for details.
