2015 Greathouse Summer Intern Forum: Sunday, August 30, Room 202

Each year, First Church provides summer employment via the Greathouse Internship Program. Interns earn approximately $2000 each working 200 hours in the organizations of their choice for their intern experience.

The Internship Program’s primary objective is to help to initiate, strengthen and support ministries that alleviate human suffering, by forming a partnership with community service organizations whose operations reflect the ability to minister to human needs that society, at least in part, has neglected.

This summer our interns Josh Hauser and Jeffrey Brittain are working for the United Methodist Oregon-Idaho Conference and Willamette Watershed Agency respectively.

SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, August 30 in Room 202, Josh and Jeffrey will share with the congregation a brief description of their experience, what they did and learned, and how it changed their thinking about social justice issues.
