First Church provides pastoral care for those who are: sick at home or in the hospital, in a time of personal or family crisis, experiencing grief following a death, or in need of caring support. We also seek to keep regular contact with our home bound members.

Following worship on the first Sunday of each month, persons interested in making calls on members of our fellowship (particularly the home bound) are invited to stop by Room 110 and pick up a calling card of suggested names. Persons are invited to participate on a one time or regular basis.

In addition, there is a Stephen Ministry program at First Church, which provides caring Christian support and friendship through a trained lay ministry team. These individuals provide a listening ear when a crisis arises. They are there when you are dealing with a death, prolonged illness, or other challenges. To receive the services of a Stephen Minister, contact Rev. Dick Storment through the church office. All pastoral care needs and requests should be directed to Rev. Dick Storment, our Minister of Pastoral Care. Rev. Storment can be reached at 503/228-3195 ext. 233 or at
