Adult Volunteers Needed

First UMC abides by the Safe Sanctuaries policy. This policy requires us to have at least two adults present any time the youth do anything. It also requires a background check for anyone working with the program.

Download the Volunteer Disclosure Form if you are interested in working with the FUMY program as an adult volunteer. This includes everyone who teaches Sunday School, everyone who helps with the evening program on Sunday night, and everyone who serves as a chaperone at youth events.

Please do not email the completed form, Mail it directly to Paul Adams, or bring it by the church office in a sealed envelope with Paul Adams' name on it.

Sunday Schedule

We are now supporting separate schedules for the Middle School and the High School groups. Sunday School Bible Studies happen every Sunday before church, and the UMY groups meet every Sunday evening with dinner provided by volunteers & parents. Longer running special activities are announced regularly via postcard and include movies, overnight retreats, mission trips, service projects, spiritual sight visits, and more.

Boy Scout Troop 1

TROOP 1 meets at the First United Methodist Church each Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM during the regular school year. Scouts visiting the Portland area are welcome to join us for our meetings.
