Sunday school will continue to be virtual on Zoom, but our children will once again gather by age group, following the children’s sermon in the 10:30 worship service. This means that we need volunteers to help lead these classes each week.

Even though we are not able to currently travel and engage in hands-on mission around the world, the Global Ministries Committee wanted to share an update about the Covid-19 Pandemic in Honduras.
First United Methodist Church Portland has also been many things for me over the last eight years. It has been a job, yes, but it has been so much more. It has been a place of acceptance, a place of joy, and a place of renewed purpose.

it all started last August with our “Commencement” ceremony for the Goose Hollow Family Shelter. As we celebrated Portland Homeless Family Solution’s success in growing out of our space into a much larger shelter space to accommodate more families,
