About Our Concerts
First Church is located right in the heart of Goose Hollow, and we are blessed with a beautiful building that we can share with our neighbors. One of our favorite ways to welcome the community into our space is by hosting concerts in our beautiful Sanctuary. This 8850 square foot sanctuary can seat up to 671 people, and features great acoustics, high tech lighting and sound systems, and a video wall.
In recent years, we’ve been pleased to host Portland State University’s Choirs, Portland Columbia Symphony, Oregon Repertory Singers, Aurora Chorus, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, the American Guild of Organists, Oregon Symphony, Oregon Music Festival, Portland Lesbian Choir, Portland Symphonic Choir, and more! First United Methodist Church is located in the Goose Hollow neighborhood of downtown Portland. Easily accessible by MAX’s blue and red lines as well as several Tri-Met buses, our facility boasts two lots that make parking a breeze for concertgoers. Street parking is also available and free after 7 pm.

Wheelchair seating is available – please see individual event ticketing pages for more information. Wheelchair accessible parking is available in the main lot (at the back of the church), as is curb-side drop-off.

Grab a bite before the concert at one of the neighborhood’s many eateries. Local favorites include Dil Se Indian Cuisine, the Leaky Roof Gastro Pub, Bellagio’s Pizza, and the cozy Goose Hollow Inn, located just across the MAX tracks from the church.
