Happy Easter, First Church! In this first week of Eastertide I want to share some ambiguous good news. One ministry that brings us Easter joy is Lift UP, an organization whose mission is to reduce hunger and improve the lives of low-income residents in NW and Downtown Portland. This partner organization manages the Preston Food Pantry on our campus.

We’ve recently received our 2023 impact report and I was overjoyed at how much impact this community has made! This past year First Church has:

  • Donated over 200 pounds of food

  • Gave over 500 volunteer hours

  • Contributed over $5k in funding
